Operation Smile Service Project
(Change Lives One Smile at a Time)

Who: Mrs. Wurth’s 6B

What: Throughout the world, Operation Smile volunteers repair childhood facial deformities while building public and private partnerships that advocate for sustainable healthcare systems for children and families. No longer will a student be ridiculed in school or in pubic for being different. Students in 6th grade want to open their hearts and make a difference in the life a child.

Individual Goal: Each child will develop a mini project to earn a minimum of $30. Students were provided with $6 on Friday, March 28, to purchase supplies for their project.

Class Goal: Sponsor surgery for one or two children; doctors and nurses will volunteer their time and talent; $240 will provide medical supplies that cannot be donated for one child

Ideas: Bake sale, car wash, create a product to sell, wash windows, spring clean, baby sit, yard work, lemonade stand, cotton candy stand.......

Suggestion: Form groups and work cooperatively

Deadline: Three weeks

Together, we can create smiles, change lives, and heal humanity.
