School Council Minutes
January 7, 2008

Members Present: Margie McGraw, Kathy Young, Sherry Brantley, Mark Crowdus, Danny Ricketts, Jody Jenkins, Tom Moosbrugger and Mrs. Hendrickson.

Members Absent: Tisha Cambron

Others Present: Arletta Bickett, secretary.

Call to Order: Jody Jenkins opened the meeting. Mrs. Hendrickson led the group in prayer.

Modifications: The date at the end of the minutes was incorrect.

Minutes: Mark Crowdus made a motion for the minutes to be approved and Kathy Young seconded.

Principal's Report: Mrs. Hendrickson stated Ross Roberts won the St. Ann Spelling Bee for one level and Maggie Stenger won the other one. Terminex inspected the school and we were free of termites. The staff Christmas party was held Dec. 20th. The Diocesan Tournament was held this past week-end and St. Ann's placed 5th. Mrs. Hendrickson attended the Pacess meeting for principals on January 4th. The financial report was handed out, but the budget is incomplete at this time. The cafeteria report was read by Jody Jenkins.

Cafeteria Report: There were 21 school days in January with an average of 137.33 children eating in the cafeteria. January 16th was 6B parent lunch with 30 guests eating with the students. January17th and 31st were snow days with no school.

Booster Club: Mrs. McGraw gave out the dates for Homecoming-Feb.16 and the athletic banquet will be held Feb. 17th. 8th grade night will be January 31st. The Cherokees for Charity donated the can goods to St. Vincent de Paul. An alumni game was suggested for January.

PTO (FOCUS): No report was given.

Pastor's Comments: Father Baker was not present at the meeting.

Old Business: We are still waiting for Broadband.

New Business: The Pre School tuition was discussed and it was recommended to raise Pre School to $1050. This will increase the tuition by $5.00 per month. Mrs. Hendrickson informed the board that the web has been revamped and invited all of them to view it. Teachers have to submit 2 items of interest to the web site. Letters are being sent to all incoming Kindergarten, 6th grade students during Catholic Schools Week.

Next Meeting Date: March 3, 2008- Dinner Will be provided. Mr. Mattingly will be here to hold the School Council Workshop. The meeting will be in the Parish Hall Activity Room at 6:00PM.

Meeting Adjourned: Mark Crowdus made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Danny Ricketts seconded.
